Where’s that weir gone?!?

We’re delighted with the river restoration works so far at the old Breich Pit (old oil shale mine), West Lothian, where Seafield weir was once an impassable fish barrier on the Almond. It’s been a real team effort to remove and re-naturalise the channel, from all the preparatory work to the happy chap in the digger.
Weir removal at reasonable price is a tough effort but very much worth it!
