Callander RiverFest 2021
The 11th August marked our first public in person event in over 2 years. We were excited to get back out chatting to the public about rivers, wildlife and the work we do to protect this precious resource.
As it was our first event, we decided to go all out and make it special. We teamed up with Callander’s Landscape and came up with RiverFest, an event focused on river activities to raise awareness of everything from environmental conservation, activities you can do on the water and even water safety.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind on the day with heavy rain pretty much from the get go but this didn’t put people off enjoying the many activities on offer.
There was everything from canoe taster sessions, guided bike rides along the river to the Falls of Leny and a guided Gaelic walk.
For our first event, it was a great day out with lots of good chat with locals and tourists to the area.
