Overview

Invasive Species Control Across the Forth 

Since 2013, the Forth Rivers Trust has supported communities across the Forth catchment to tackle Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) along rivers. Where funding allows, we deliver INNS control at a catchment scale, working with volunteers, landowners and local groups. This work began under the Forth INNS Programme and has progressed through several phases with support from various funders. 

Although resources are now more limited, we continue to assist local efforts by offering advice, training, loan of equipment and treatment chemicals (subject to availability). We are also actively seeking further funding to expand this work.

Please note: We currently have no funding for large-scale INNS control but are delivering targeted action through specific projects (e.g. in the National Park, West Lothian INNS). Contact us to find out if we’re working in your area.
