RiverLife: Almond & Avon has been an ambitious 5 year project making improvements to the River Almond and River Avon catchments.Â
The project has worked with communities and partner organisations between 2016 and 2021 to carry out a range of engagement and restoration work to improve historic issues and engage communities with their local rivers.
RiverLife ran a number of projects which have included:
- River Almond Barriers Project
- Killandean Blue/Green Network
- Upper Avon Enhancement Project
- Bathgate Water Restoration
- Riverfly Monitoring
- Almond/Avon Invasive Non-Native Species
- Training
- Engagement and public events
- Volunteering
- Small Grants Scheme for river projects

Forth Rivers Trust, West Lothian Council and
City of Edinburgh Council.
